Entering from the Downhills Park
Road entrance to Lordship Rec you will pass an area of woodland.
This was planted by volunteers in 1985 to recreate the mixed
woodland that covered most of the Tottenham area in the past.
It contains several varieties of trees including oak, birch,
sycamore, horse chestnut, holly and hawthorn to name but a
few. At one time the undergrowth was very thick and inpenetrable
but this has now been cleared and the Friends of Lordship
Rec are hoping to make a feature of the wood by creating a
nature trail through it (See The Future-Projects)
